Grand Opening
On April 23rd,
2009, in the midst of the recession, The Providence had its grand
opening that doubled as an art show, a decision that worked out
quite well for the eight-unit development in Logan Circle. Two weeks
after the opening, the development had just one unit left on the
market.
The Providence, just to the east of Logan Circle had one-bedrooms
starting at around $300k and higher end two-bedrooms starting in the
mid-$600s. Following the Grand Opening, the only unit left was a
two-bedroom, 2.5 bath triplex with a private roof deck, a parking
space and almost 1,500 square feet of interior space. Two weeks
later the final unit was sold in the high-$600s.
